I use this outside in my garden to hold floodlights so I can weed after my kids go to bed. This was left outside for several months now and they still look and work great! No rusting, all the parts slide and screw well. It does get tall and top heavy so I usually wrap a heavy chain around the legs to add some bottom weight. Overall I'm very happy with the light stand.Update: there is some light rusting on the screws, I think they were probably coated metal as opposed to solid stainless steel. Either way the tripod still looks and works great after a 2nd summer outdoors. The legs and main pole have zero rust.
